With so many mods available, it can be a little overwhelming to know where to start. As open and dynamic as the base game is, mods just open the door to an almost endless supply of tools you can use to extend the life of your game. Some are inspired to fix the numerous bugs and glitches Bethesda games have become famous for, while others look to add new features. Just like Skyrim, Fallout 4 mods are incredibly popular. Thanks to mods, it has never been a better time to revisit the last “pure” Fallout game. A large appeal of these games is how you are able to actually role-play and immerse yourself in the game world, which isn’t so easy with other players jumping around in their underwear.
Fallout 4was the last single-player entry in the series before Fallout 76took the game into a persistent multiplayer experience. The post-nuclear war setting is rife with interesting stories to experience and monsters to kill. The Fallout games, at least since Fallout 3, have been absolutely massive games in both scale and popularity. Also, none of my local drives are low on space. Of course I now wonder if something similar happened on the 4th, but unfortunately there does not seem to be any uvfs log from that day.Įdit: I've used MO2 for SSE for a while before I added FO4 and had no issues this may be notable as the local installation for both is pretty much identical. This also includes not applying the MO2-managed fallout4custom.ini settings correctly, as the game started with the intro - which is also disabled in my settings. I just had the odd issue that the vfs wasn't built correctly - it contained no mods etc at all.
